Oh man. Today is one of those sucky days which I have to wander in town alone. Yeah. I mean ALONE. Never actually like that feeling of being lonely. Well, its not like I have a choice anyway. All my friends were seemed to be totally occupied with their stuff and weren't free for me. So, I went to collect my passport alone and shop around in town for a while. As usual, I dropped by at Yamaha music school at Plaza Singapura to admire some of their piano. =D Oh, I bought one manuscript book too. It costs me 2 bucks. 1 manuscript book = 4 normal exercise books. It seems kind of expensive. =X Actually realised that Yamaha music school cashier is more friendly than other cashiers around. The cashier first greeted me with a "good afternoon" and a smiley face and thanked me after that with a "thank you very much." I alway believe that good service is extremely important. It will leave good impression deep in the consumer's mind. I was actually wondering if the cashier has music background especially on piano playing and are all Yamaha employee be equipped with music background. Well, I guess I will have to find out myself.
These days, I have been thinking about how badly my spoken and written English is. Although, twinny alway say that my English isn't as bad as what I thought it is, I still feel that it sucks alot and there's certainly a need to improve on it. Unfortunately, I have no idea how it can be done.
Oh Lawrence, my new "World issue, a singapore perspective" module tutor is my idol! He rocks man. He is the first tutor who actually scold "Fu.." in class. Actually, thats not the point. His first lesson is enjoyable and funny.
Integrated lab 2 is so much like a practical exam. Imagine each practical is an exam itself, the practical results will make up 80% of the module grade. Stress. =X This means if we screw up the practical, it will reflect on our grade. =X Pray hard that everything will go smoothly.
Alright. Today is the first day of year 3. Yeah man. I only had 1 hour of proteomics lecture and I was done for today's lessons. I guess I was suppose to get started on my fyp (Final Year Project) but I decided to take a break instead. Tomorrow onwards, I shall work harder. =D After lesson, I met up with su, faiz and zak for lunch. All of us decided to spare 1 hour at this particular time slot every week to meet up for lunch. Thats a promise, guys??? Then, I went to Jurong point with zak and bought mother's day gifts for my grandmother and mother. Hope they will like it. =)
I bought one sling bag. Actually, I Alway wanted to get a crumpler bag but its just way beyond my budget. So, decided to go for an OP sling bag instead. Well, I like it alot too. Guess how much does it costs? It costs me 40 bucks. I guess its alot cheaper than Kim Heng's "$99 only" bag. Last weekend, I spent all my time updating logbook. Primarily because I have to do it and my friend PS me on sat.
oh. I went to the newly built regional library near jurong point. The environment is conducive for revision and the books collection are alright. The only flaw I noticed is not having any elevator or escalator for a library of three storeys. This is so much smilar to our Ngee ann library. =X They should just spend a little more for a lift. This makes life easier. (Don huh, U are going to suffer when u get into NS. Only 3 levels and you complain). Seriously, I think NS life is gonna be tough for me too. Especially, thinking of the fact that my fitness sucks, all the NAPFA components suck. I better spare some time for doing some exercise. =X Okay, time to sleep. Good night and take care. =D Stay cheerful!
Horrendous. I was caught up in a traffic congestion for more than 1 hour when I was on my way home. It was really terrible. =X
Today was a pretty hectic day. Thanks goodness, seniors were around to help me. Couldn't imagine today without them. Anyway, that traffic congestion spoilt my original plans. My initial plan is to spend a little more time on piano playing but who knows I'll be caught up in that congestion. Thus, I can't stick to that plan.
Tomorrow will be expected to be hectic as well. Hope everything turns out well. Anyway, I would stop here for now. Will be back soon. =D
This maybe one of the last few entries just before new school term starts.
Sometimes, we just forgot how fortunate we are. Most of us here are actually leading a very fortunate life. Did anyone come across a person who realised that he/she is fortunate? I doubt most people realised it. In fact, we often hear people complaining about how un-fortunate he/she is instead.
Well, I must admit that I'm one of them who complained. Come to think about it, my aunt is right. We should not alway compare ourselves with those people whom we think they are "more fortunate" than us. Rather, we should compare those who are less fortunate than us. "See, he has a car and I don't have one". By comparing it this way, we will never be contented with our life.
Its actually kind of contradicting. Think about it. In nature, humans are never contented with our own lives and that's tha main reason for the new inventions and creations. So is "never be contented", good or bad? Seriously, everything has its pros and cons. I guess this is no different to this.
We have to be contented with our lives at times.
Yesterday, my aunt's dog, "Ah girl" passed away. So sad. =X Life is so fragile. This news came too sudden for everyone. One moment she was sick and the other moment she was gone. Some may think it's just a dog afterall but who might want to disagree that what had happened to a dog may just happen to human as well? We have to learn to treasure them when they are around and not regret for not treasuring them when they are long gone. There's no point to it.
Okay. Some happy stuff. I went out with my secondary school clique yesterday. The whole outing was fabulous. We took tons of neoprints. Great moments should be captured! Anyway, those neoprints are uploaded in yesterday's entry. We watched the movie, "Take the lead" too. It is superb! A must watch movie.
Grandmother and aunt came to visit us this morning. I had lunch with them and it was certainly great. After the lunch, I went to town with wai kit to complete the search of gift for somebody. Overall, the day was fine.
Oh, just remembered how bad my piano sight reading is. My piano teacher seems rather pissed off with me yesterday. =X I guess I didn't practice hard enough. Really got to practice real hard this week.
Well, I'm not intending to go anywhere today or rather I have no one to accompany me out. How sad. =X. Anyway, I'm going to KBox tomorrow! So... It's no big deal that I'm not going out today. I had home-cooked pasta for lunch just now. Of course, it was cooked by me. =D It's been a while since I last entered my home's kitchen to prepare a meal. I cooked two servings of pasta which means I will have pasta for dinner as well. Don't worry. I'm more than willing to eat that since I hardly cook for myself.
Yesterday, I came across one interesting article about fast foods. Before I go on, I would like to explain what's "Trans-fats" is. To make things simpler, (as I'm not too sure either) "Trans-fats" are fats in trans-configuration and they are a nuisance to our body. In other words, the more the trans-fats in a particular food, the less healthy the food is. So here it goes... In the recent reseach, researchers investigate different fast food from various countries. For instance, Mcdonald's fries in countries like USA, Denmark etc... To their surprise, they found out that the amount of trans-fats found in Mcdonald's fries vary greatly from country to country. Denmark fries contain less than 1 % of trans-fat whereas USA's fries contain 20%~. The reasons behide this is thought to be the type of oil which are used to fry the fries. Oil which contains more trans-fats is cheaper than those with lesser trans-fats. To save costs, certain company use cheaper oil to fry and resulting in higher trans-fats containing food. This makes me wonder if our country fast foods actually contain less than 1% of trans-fats or more than 20%.
To all the fast food lovers. Just face it that fast foods aren't healthy. No matter whether is 1% of trans-fat or 20%, they are generally unhealthy food.
Oh. I nearly forgot that I actually uploaded the pictures of the pasta I cooked. Photoshop made a great deal of different.
Here's the pictures.

(Conversation between don and the imaginary devilz)
Devilz: Your pasta must have looked really un-appealing and disgusting. Don: WHY? what makes you say that? Devilz: Admit it man. Who would EDIT their photo if it looks nice. So I'm quite sure your pasta might looked really ugly. That is why YOU EDIT it. Don: Whatever. The pasta looked nice in actual BUT my handphone cam sucks. That's why I need to edit it to make it somehow like the actual one. Devilz: Stop blaming your Hp cam! Must be your skill sucks. Don: Darm it! Stop your crap. I say my pasta looks nice in actual. Devilz: Whatever la.. lalala.. All the bullshit. Don: Excuse me? Who actually permit you to ENTER my blog? Get lost man! Devilz: Whatever la. Alwayz don't let people see your blog. It's nothing so secretive about. Your blog sucks anyway. Don: =X You are no better than my blog if it sucks Devilz: Okay I am leaving here. This place stinks and I have more important things to attend to. Don: Yes. Finally. Get lost! Devilz: Shut up la. I will go.
I am so bored and I have no idea what to type. So.. decided to write all these. =X
I'm rather disgusted now. Although, this news may have been out of date to discuss now but who cares?
Note: All the stuffs I wrote below are not trying to generalise or accusing JC students. It is meant to comment on that particular "JC Kid." Hope it won't be offensive to anyone, excluding that kid.
Okay, here it goes...
I was surfing the web just now and came across this particular infuriating article. It seems like this article was on last week's newpaper.
It's just ridiculous for this kid to comment that "a lot of the poly people are just stupid, childish and mindless kids" when all his arguments and rebuts don't make sense at all. Most importantly, the arguments he made do not show high level of maturity. In fact, by judging from what he said, he is just plain childish, himself.
Lets see. (the text in bold are by that kid)
The fact that we can do better in all the exams up till now means that we have a better learning ability than the rest of you. We still do well in subjects we don't like. Put an average JC student in a poly and he'll ace everything. HTML? Teach it to any JC student and he will definitely master it in less than half the time poly people take. I don't see how the poly kids can ever do better than any jc boy when they can't even do well for the O Levels. O Levels is just elementary stuff. Simple maths, simple science and basic mastery of your languages.
Sterotyping. Is it actually true that if we put an average JC student in a poly and he will ace everything? I doubt so.
'If someone can't even meet the minimum cut-off (points) to enter a JC, it's just plain sad. 'People from poly should know their place.'
Oh well, I must say that it's definitely untrue that poly students can't meet the minimum COP to enter JC and choose poly as an alternative pathway. With my own eyes, I've seen one of my friends who scored L1R5, 7 points entering poly without even completely her first three months trial in JC. I am quite certain that with her points, she can choose to go to almost all the JCs but she chose to get into poly. I certainly do not think that JC students are more superior that poly students. Both have their pros and cons.
"But, it's normal for you to deny that...since, you are from a poly too. Haha. Why? Can't meet the minimum cut off to enter a JC?"
lol. Poly kids are the one taking up low paid jobs. Can you get into law? Or medicine? =pYep. They teach you people to work. That's all they teach. They dont teach you to think at a polytechnic.Being in a JC doesnt just mean that our memory is better. We're better overall learners. Better in languages, science and maths. Bigger deal than being in a poly, like I said.
Yes. There are some of you who got lucky and managed to meet the minimum requirement. No big deal about being in a JC. It's just a bigger deal than being in a poly. lolAttitude? Pointing out how inferior poly people are = attitude? lolWe do better in every aspect. Not just in exams. You guys get taught only to work. Do they teach you to think? lol!
Seriously, as I read on in that forum, I get more disgusted by "kid" than ever. Why is that kid so sure that polytechnic don't teach us how to think? In that forum, even uni students was arguing with that kid. Guess what reply did that kid give?
"Anyway, your course in uni isn't that good"
I cannot imagine people like him getting into med school in uni. It will not benefit man kind in anyway.
That kid claimed that he/she is from a top JC and knew the important of having a good cert. Well, having good grades are important but able to survive in working society is as important. We heard of university. There is university of life as well. A person may be able to excel in the university but may not even survive in the university of life.
Grades are certainly not everything in our lives. Grades are important. Other aspect of lives are as important as well.
I'm kind of slacking in my school science lab now as we are waiting for our seniors to arrive. My throat is still sore. Sheez. Hope I will recover before the KBOX session this sat. Yesterday, when I was chatting with mick about ice skating, I realised that its been ages since I last went for a ice skate. I want to ice skate man. Ice skating is fun.
I shall officially declare that I HATE LAST MIN WORK TO THE CORE. Sigh.
My whole week was hectic and I need a breather. I spent half of my weekend updating my logbook and the other half relaxing. I must say it's alway so nice to chill out with friends. I mean "friends" not any of those "Hi" and "bye" friends. Last friday, I met a typical "Hi-Bye" friend in school. I said hi to him and he returned a bye to me. What a typical greeting.
Anyway, I went to town with wai kit yesterday to get something for someone. well, we didn't get anything in the end. =X Instead, we went to sakura for dinner. It's my first visit to sakura international buffet restaurant. I would say the ambience isn't very fantastic. Food isn't very delicious either. Well? Maybe I am just not in the mood to eat good food. Did I actually mention that my sore throat was back? Yes. Its worst than the one I had two weeks ago. I hate sore throat. Guess no one will like it either. It forbids you to eat nice and delicious food. It destroy your appetite for food.
My piano tuner is finally tuning my piano this coming wednesday. I've been waiting for it for ages. Sheeez. OH... Something came into my mind now. When I was talking to mick yesterday, he asked what will I do if I know I am left with 10 years of my life. Well, that's quite a tough question. Never really thought of it before.
My replied was 1) Complete my poly study 2) Get into uni 3) Went for a World-Tour with my friends 4) Help those who need my help
Hmm.. Actually, I think I need more time to think about it.
Okay. I feel the need to mention this. =D I went to watch a chinese play in school and it was great. Really. The actors and actresses acted very well. My friend, lynette ak.a Zhi xin surprised me with her spoken mandarin! Never actually expect her to speak so well in her mandarin. I alway thought she is only good in her english, just like those typical mass com students. I think her chinese and spoken mandarin is 5 times my standard. =X Haha.. 3 cheers to the success of this play and 3 cheers for Zhi xin!
And ... I bought a mp3 player one day after the play. It simply rocks la. I love it alot, it fills me with music.
Am I getting more long winded than ever? I guess I better stop here or I will write another page or so. Anyway, Take care all my friends. I can't wait to chill out with my clique this coming sat! we are going to KBOX. YEAH. OH. "We still haven't go to sushi buffet man" That person should know what I meant. Hahaha..

I guess this song is about...
Marc is very ill and he wanted Jen not to love him anymore. He don't see any future between them. However, Jen is quite determined in their love. Unfortunatly, Marc still died in the end but his soul is always in Jen's heart.
