Hi! I am currently using my psp to blog now. Well, despite the fact that typing using the psp is abit hard, I still find it quite cool to be able to blog using it.

It's weekend!

Saturday, September 13, 2008

Yeah. Finally, it's weekend again. :) I don't know why but it just always seems like time flies many times faster when you are resting or having fun. I woke up at 9am this morning. Without realising, it's already 12.10pm now. Almost half of the day is gone.

Time waits for no man.

I shall write the updates of my life now.

Life is alright for me now. As usual, it can get quite monotonous at times. But well, whose life doesn't? I'm trying to make full use of my precious time; learning extra knowledge, picking up extra skill, doing what I like to do and enjoying my time with important people in my life.

I always wonder am I really a mugger. (In this context, the word mugger means a person who studies too hard) Anyway, I wonder what is wrong about being a mugger too? I mean, unless you define a mugger as a super bookworm ( one who spend most of his/her time studying and nothing else), I do not see anything wrong with a mugger.

These days, with the advancement of medical science and technology, an average human life span is about 70 -75 years old. However, it is not as long as what we think it is, considering how fast time flies. At the same time, the life span has not taken into consideration of accidents and sudden death. In other words, are you so sure that we really have so long to live? Yes. Life is fragile, precious and short. Without realising it, perhaps, half of your life has gone.

Personally, I hope to spend my time wisely, or rather I am trying. Like I said, I am not those people who can sit around, not doing anything. I need to do something. If not, at least I need to keep my mind occupied with something. That is why, I will try to read some books when I am free. Some people will be horrified by the fact that I read books when I am free. Honestly, I don't know why. Perhaps, they think I am a mugger-the only thing I can do in life is to study. While, some people will think I am diligent. I don't think of it as me, being diligent. Rather, I am just trying to make good use of my time.

I don't like to study or read books for 24/7 ( 24 hours a day and 7 days a week- every time!) too. Seriously, tell me who likes it? I prefer to balance my life with different activities. For instance, some sports ( I admit I am damn sucky in this area), chill out with friends, games, playing piano and gaining extra knowledge. I feel that my time is used more wisely this way. :)

One of my friends used to say he studied hard just for a better future and not because he likes it. Honestly, when I first heard it, I find it a little amazing. As in, how can a person study so hard when he/she doesn't like it. Now, I truly understand it. In life, we cannot always expect ourselves to do what we like. Sometimes, we have to sacrifice. It is a bonus if you can like what you are doing.

In a pragmatic society like Singapore, paper qualification is important. Paper qualification cannot guarantee that you will suceed in life but it is essential in our society. It is somewhat like "weapons" to fight in a battle. I always tell myself this- I am not from a well-off family, neither do I have a family business to depend on nor extra funds from my parents to allow me to study abroad. The only thing I can do is to work really hard, try my very best in life. At least, with those "weapons", I might be able to survive better in this society. (Do your best today for a better tomorrow!)

One of my favourite quote in life is If there's a will, there's a way. In polytechnic, one of my maths lecturers used to say this, "nothing is impossible, so what if you have no A maths background, you just have to spend more time and work a little harder- If those with A maths background take 1 hour to study, you just take 2-3 hours more, study till you can do it. There is nothing to be demoralised about." This is like a motivational quote which keeps me going in life and reminds me to stay strong. :)

Tired

Thursday, September 11, 2008

From entry's title itself, I am sure it has already give away the fact that I'm really very exhausted now. Yes. I am feeling so drained now. Perhaps, it is resulted from the swim just now.

I am trying so hard to think of something to blog now. Apparently, I think it isn't working. Besides swimming, I practice abit of my piano exam pieces just now. I'm currently working on my second piece. I think I am still far from mastering all these exam pieces. Oh well...

Anyway, I think I need to get my sleep. It can't be helped. =S

Is this a dream or for real? If it's a dream, I hope it will keep going.

Happy Birthday

Sunday, September 07, 2008

Happy Birthday, Grandfather!

Today is grandfather's birthday. I just came back from the dinner which is meant for celebrating his birthday.

The speed of how time flies never fail to amaze me. Yes. Another weekend has just passed in the blink of an eye. It's scary especially when we know that lost time can never be reclaimed.

I hope the weekend which has just passed was well-spent. I started my "long weekend" on friday with a meet up with Kendrick. Saturday was spent with piano lessons and tidying up my room. Speaking of tidying up, I spent almost one whole day doing that for my room.

As for today, I met up with seg chi wei for lunch. It's been quite a while since I last met him.

Anyway, I guess I shall stop here, not sure what else to blog because I'm so tired. I'm having duty tomorrow. =X

=(

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Shucks! I think I'm having diarrhoea. What a way to end my day. Today is yet another boring and unproductive day. Concentration is all I need now. Yeah. I mean I should be concentrating in what ought to be done.

I got this sudden craving for Macdonald's and Burger King's breakfast. This is bad.

I hope I can manage to have Burger King for breakfast this saturday.

I must learn to control the number of smses

A nice winter coat, long johns, scarf, wool socks and leather gloves.

I borrowed all of these from wilson. A big thank you to him. I guess without him lending me these stuff, I would have to spend alot on them.

I like those pictures you sent to me. Hehe...
